Chennai rock band 83 MPH to perform live
Rock music performance to enthrall spectators
CHENNAI, 6th January 2012: 83 MPH, Chennai's up-and-coming rock band, will perform the opening act on the final day of the Aircel Chennai Open 2012 at the SDAT-Nungambakkam Tennis Stadium on Sunday. This initiative has been brought together by Chennai Live, the events official radio partner.
The singles and doubles finals of the Aircel Chennai Open 2012 will be played after the performance by 83 MPH at the Nungambakkam Stadium here.
Formed in January 2011, 83 MPH is a 6 piece band widely known for their versatility with each one having their own signature styles.
Comprising Kenny Shaiza on vocals, Peter Joshua on drums, Aldrin Alexander on keyboards, Harshit Misra on bass and Rishikant Ekka and Raemus Castelino on guitar, the band has won several collegiate level awards and recently bagged the Channel V launch pad zonals and will be competing with four other bands nationally.
Influenced by legendary artists like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Muse and Grits, the band members of 83 MPH are from different genres of rock, which adds to their variety.
